VRAIN applies artificial intelligence to agriculture, developing solutions that enhance crop management, disease detection, and resource optimization. Our research focuses on computer vision systems for early detection of plant diseases, intelligent sensors for precision agriculture, and AI-powered decision support for sustainable farming practices.
The Plantillo device exemplifies our approach to agricultural innovation, using convolutional neural networks to detect up to 27 different crop diseases at early stages through image analysis. This technology enables farmers to take preventive action before diseases spread, reducing crop losses and enabling more targeted treatment approaches. We also develop optimization algorithms for water resource management in coastal agricultural areas, addressing the critical challenge of water scarcity in coastal agricultural areas.
Our agricultural AI solutions combine deep learning for visual recognition, natural computing for bio-inspired optimization, and intelligent agent systems for coordinating precision agriculture operations. These technologies support the transition to more sustainable and efficient farming practices, helping to ensure food security while minimizing environmental impact.
