The Valencian Research Institute for Artificial Intelligence (VRAIN) is a University Research Institute of the Universitat Politècnica de València, recognised as such by the Valencian Government through Decree 78/2021. More than 176 researchers are organised into eight research groups working across nine major areas of artificial intelligence. With over 30 years of AI research experience across its constituent groups, VRAIN maintains a sustained programme of fundamental and applied research, doctoral training, and technology transfer, with a particular focus on Trustworthy, Ethical, and Responsible AI.
